Sometimes, the right people find the right place at the right time. What began as a conversation soon revealed a shared vision for the kind of school we hope to build—one rooted in curiosity, kindness and deep respect for childhood.

With over three decades of experience in education, Sridevi Gopalakrishna Reddy has taught and led schools across Chennai, Kochi, Thiruvalla and Kozhikode. Most recently, she served as the Head of School of a Cambridge International school in Chennai for eight years, helping shape its academic systems and learning culture from its early years.

She believes education is a process of guiding rather than controlling—where patience, trust and understanding help every child discover their own path. Her approach is grounded in fairness, kindness and respect, creating an environment where children feel safe to question, create and belong.

At The New School, her calm and thoughtful leadership reflects the values that define our community. Together with our teachers and families, she looks forward to nurturing a school where every child is seen, valued and encouraged to flourish.
