Thiagarajar group of educational institutions was founded by the late Kalaithanthai Karumuttu Thiagarajan Chettiar- a great visionary, exceptional industrialist, educationalist, staunch nationalist and generous philanthropist.

The schools, colleges and training institutions were established by the founder with the objective to serve society and to make education affordable to all. These institutions have transformed millions of lives and continue to be the beacon of hope for thousands of students from Madurai and neighbouring regions.

The New School is an initiative towards holistic childhood education by Thiagarajar group of Educational institutions under the leadership of Karumuttu.T.Kannan, a dedicated industrialist and philanthropist. The school has the privilege of being housed inside the campus of Thiagarajar Engineering College.
